Project Title: Electrical and Instrumentation works for Potlines 1 and 2
Client: Emirates Aluminium Company Limited (EMAL)

Scope of Work: The smelter complex covers a site of 6 sqkm and was built in two phases. Phase I was completed in early 2011, ahead of schedule. In 2011, EMAL commenced the Phase II expansion which was completed by the end of 2014. At the end of Phase II, EMAL will have the longest single potline in the world at 1.7 km and annual production capacity will almost double to 1.3 million metric tonnes. Danway EME has played a major role in the execution of Electrical and Instrumentation works associated with the Potlines, Carbon Plant, Casthouse, Material Handling and Power Distribution system in both the phases. During Phase 1 construction, Danway EME had a peak workforce strength of 1600 and achieved more than 4 Million manhours without LTI, validating its commitment to Health and Safety at work site.
